Hi there! I’m Frosina, the artist behind Mountain Love Pottery.

I moved from Macedonia to South Lake Tahoe in 2015, and a few years later I signed up for my very first ceramics class at LTCC. To be honest, I almost gave up after the first or second class because it was much harder than it looked but the moment I sat at the wheel and felt the clay spinning beneath my hands, I knew I had found my medium. Before clay, I had tried many different art classes as an art major, but nothing else captured my heart the same way.

The story of craftsmanship in my life begins with my grandfather, who to this day is a master craftsman of many mediums. His main passion is woodworking, and he also makes traditional instruments, which he enjoys playing as a hobby. Back in the day, he even collected natural clay and, with the help of my mom, who was just a child at the time, made and fired bricks. Those bricks went on to build their family home. That memory of earth, hands, and heritage continues to inspire me in my own creative journey.

I started out in college studios, then moved into shared spaces, and eventually built my own garage studio, where I work today. You can usually find me at local farmers markets in South Lake Tahoe, Reno, and Truckee, as well as at special community events. From time to time, I also stock my work in local coffee shops and gift stores, and I do my best to keep my website updated as well.

The mountains and wild landscapes of Tahoe are a constant source of inspiration in my work whether it’s in the earthy textures, natural colors, or simple shapes that echo the beauty of nature.

As of July 2025, I’m proud to be working as a full-time potter. Mountain Love Pottery is my dream in motion, an ever-growing journey shaped with clay, creativity, and a whole lot of love.
